Brew Up Summer Fun: Iced Tea Cocktails & Mocktails for Independence Day

The 4th of July is the perfect time to soak up sunshine, spend time with loved ones, and sip something delicious. This year, swap your usual party drinks for something a little more unique—festive, tea-inspired creations that are as refreshing as they are fun.

1. Berry Sparkler Iced Tea 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brewed hibiscus tea (cooled)

  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)

  • 1/2 cup sparkling water or lemon-lime soda

  • Fresh mint

  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Lightly muddle the berries in the bottom of a glass.

  2. Add ice to the glass.

  3. Pour in the chilled hibiscus tea.

  4. Top with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.

  5. Garnish with mint and a few whole berries.

Tip: Hibiscus tea is caffeine-free and naturally bright red—great for guests of all ages.


2. Patriotic Peach Tea Sangria 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups brewed peach apricot black tea (cooled)

  • 1 cup white wine

  • 1/2 cup peach schnapps

  • 1 peach, sliced

  • 1/2 cup blueberries

  • Strawberries for garnish

  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled peach tea, white wine, and peach schnapps.

  2. Add sliced peaches and blueberries.

  3. Chill in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours.

  4. Serve over ice.

  5. Garnish each glass with a strawberry.

3. Firecracker Arnold Palmer 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brewed black tea of your choice (cooled)

  • 1 cup lemonade

  • Lemon slices

  • Optional: 1 oz vodka

  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Fill a glass with ice.

  2. Add 1 cup lemonade and 1 cup black tea.

  3. Stir gently to combine.

  4. Garnish with lemon slices.

  5. Add vodka if desired for a boozy version.

Tip: Freeze berries in your ice cubes the night before for a colorful touch.


4. Blueberry Tea Fizz 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brewed butterfly pea flower tea (cooled)

  • 1/2 cup lemonade or lemon soda

  • Fresh blueberries

  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Fill a glass with ice and a small handful of fresh blueberries.

  2. Pour in the cooled tea.

  3. Top with lemonade or lemon soda.

  4. Stir gently and serve.

Tip: Butterfly pea tea turns blue—and reacts to lemon juice with a beautiful color change.
